Another race / walk / event will be causing delays to Phoenix light rail service this weekend. Riders should be aware of the Sunday event that travels along Central Avenue.

Service delay due to Phoenix 10k race
Sunday, Nov. 6, morning
Please expect delays of as much as 15 minutes due to the Phoenix 10k race running in downtown and central Phoenix on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011 between 8 a.m. and approximately 11 a.m. METRO is working with race organizers to minimize the delay, but please give yourself extra time to arrive at your destination.
METRO service will run as normal before and following the race; trains run every 20 minutes on Sundays. Please consider light rail as a convenient way to connect to the race. Use Central/Washington and 1st Ave./Jefferson as your closest stations to the race start and finish.
