Got a story to tell? Well, it’s not really ME that wants to hear it, it is the cast and crew at METRO light rail along with the American Public Transportation Association.
From METRO’s Facebook page we get this explanation of what is going on…
“There is still time to tell METRO your transit story! How you use transit to connect to life? What benefits has transit brought to your life? How light rail has changed your community? What do you see in the future for light rail? Stories will be shared with Congressional leadership in DC this fall. Entry forms available online at metrolightrail.org. Deadline is this Friday, July 30.”
Here’s the deal. If you have a few words to throw together and would like to share your transit story with the APTA, METRO has asked for your input.
All you have to do is use this easy “Tell Us Your Transit Story” form on METRO’s site.
The form asks for 250 words or less. Anyone can do that, right?
The topics should be easy for people to come up with.
Maybe you are a business owner that has seen a benefit from light rail? Maybe you are an ASU student that likes the convenience of the light rail? Maybe you just got tired of driving from BFE just to go have some fun once in a while? Maybe you like to travel and have found a better / more convenient way to get to the airport? Maybe you have found a better way to cheer for your favorite team? Who likes to party all night?
OK, you probably don’t need me to give you ideas on how transportation in Arizona has made a difference. Let them know by Friday the 30th and METRO says they will share your stories with Congressional leadership in the fall.
Incase you missed it, here is the link to tell em’ your story!
I LOVE this! We just started a new blog ALL about the story behind our community! Everyone has a story! And everyone loves to read and share their stories! I can’t wait to see how your story project comes out!
