Mesa Light Rail Station Closing For The Weekend

January 8, 2015 by Nick Bastian Leave a Comment

The Mesa light rail station at Sycamore and Main is currently scheduled to be closed from late Friday night until early Monday morning. This is a busy station and passengers should know that a shuttle service will be set up to try and alleviate some of the issues with the temporary closure.

Of course, the upside of this closure indicates that the Mesa light rail extension is getting closer to completion! We are so glad to see light rail expanding to this area.

Here’s the info from a METRO News Flash:

Sycamore Station Closure
On Friday, January 9, beginning at midnight through end of service on Sunday, January 11, light rail will not serve the Sycamore Station in Mesa.
To assist riders, Valley Metro will offer a bus shuttle to take riders between the Sycamore and Price/Apache Blvd stations.  Light rail riders are also encouraged to use the Price-101 Fwy/Apache Blvd Park-and-Ride instead of the Sycamore/Main St Park-and-Ride for events in downtown Phoenix.
Thank you for your patience as we temporarily close the Sycamore Station to complete necessary track work for the Central Mesa Extension light rail extension.
