I walked by the new Tempe location for Yoga to the People the other day and saw them working on the new space. One of the owners saw me peeking into the window and came over to see if I had any questions. To me, that was a great sign. A sign that shows they care about telling people about their cool new place. No, I’m really not a yoga guy ( yet, you never know ), but I do like to know what is happening with new businesses in our area.
In reading some of their materials and checking out their web site, I learned that Yoga to the People has locations in New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Berkley and Tempe. Their donation-based yoga is an interesting concept. They don’t require registration , you just drop-in and make a suggested donation of $10.00 for your class. They don’t care what you wear, how you look, how you pay or who you are.

They are located just east of City Hall on the ground floor of the City Hall Parking Garage and next to where the new Residence Inn by Marriot is being built. Yes, it IS right across the street from the Tempe Transit Center and right across from a light rail station which makes it easy to bus, ride, bike, drive to get there. NO excuses for you!

I think Yoga to the People will be a great fit in this part of Tempe. Students, residents, and
tourists can all take advantage of their laid back style. Give them a try, let us know what you think…
I went to YTTP and found it was great! Although, I was the only one there which was a bit embarrassing since I’m not very good at yoga and it felt like a 1:1 class.
I love this studio. I discovered it last week. And been dropping in ever since. I want to take full advantage of it before the place is flooded with people. Thanks for doing this post. I was wondering why no one else in the area are as excited about it as me ….
