A big Rail Life congratulations goes out to Valley Metro CEO Steve Banta and to the South West Transit Association today for the unanimous decision to have Mr. Banta be the 2013 secretary / treasurer of the SWTA.
In an article dated today, Mass Transit Magazine says: “Valley Metro CEO Elected to South West Transit Association Board.”
We’ve been impressed with the guidance of METRO here in AZ and his hard work and dedication appears to have been noticed in many circles. The following quote from the article reminds us of what we have been hearing for the past few years from Steve here in the Phoenix area:
“Transit is becoming more essential for all communities, whether urban or rural, and it’s exciting to be a part of that progression.”
