Join the Green Revolution this weekend in Tempe! Head over to the Green Business Expo at the Tempe Center for the Arts. The TCA is located at 700 West Rio Salado Parkway in Tempe and it is an amazing facility.
The Green Business Expo will feature a TON of information, products and demonstrations on how to live a more sustainable life.
Check out places like ClothingCycle where they take any kind of fabric – beat up, stained, ripped, whatever, and recycle it into insulation, commercial rags and all kinds of other useable stuff. To top it off, they pay money to your favorite charity for each pound you bring in. The ClothingCycle truck will be at Tempe Center for the Arts beginning on Friday and will take donations on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. So, clean out all of those clothes that don’t fit, are out of style or have been recently replaced during the holiday season.
Dozens of vendors and green business owners will be on hand with all kinds of great information. It will be a full house at the TCA for this very fun event.
Saturday, Jan. 19 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m
The Green Business Expo will include businesses that focus on:
* Carbon Footprint
* Energy
* Composting and Gardening
* Recycling
* Hybrid Homes
From now until February 4th, Artist Jeff Zischke’s beautiful artwork Nodal Constellations is in the reflecting pool at TCA. Nodal Constellations uses solar technology to create glowing, floating art. It’s very cool. Check out the photo below, sent to us by our friends at @tempegov.
The Tempe Green Expo is just one in a series of green events happening in Tempe over the next several months. These events are open to everyone, you don’t need to live in Tempe to participate and to check out all of the cool ways to save the earth, save some cash and have some fun. Check out the Green Expo or any of the upcoming events. All of the info can be found on the Tempe.gov Green Revolution page.
If you are really green and are taking one of the light rail trains to the Green Expo, just head to the Mill Avenue station and then go north on Mill. Once you get to Tempe Beach Park, go west along the boardwalk to get to the TCA. It’s also a really nice walk or bike ride. Enjoy the day!
