So, what can you expect at the Phoenix and Tempe Town Lake 4th of July celebrations?
The Phoenix 4th of July celebration is FREE for all to attend, and the Tempe 4th of July party is $8.00 at the gate. Children 12 & under are FREE, as are people with a military ID. Early tickets are on sale at discounted prices in Tempe. $60.00 VIP tickets are also available, see the Tempe 4th ticket page for complete details.
Phoenix will have a huge party with:
• three stages of live local entertainment.
• A Kids’ Zone filled with inflatables and activities for kids
• A Hurricane Beach area to cool you off.
• One of the largest fireworks displays in Arizona begins at 9:30PM
At Tempe Town Lake, there will be a free inflatable village with a variety of rides, rock climbing walls and more proceeding the huge fireworks spectacular launched from the Mill Avenue Bridge. There will also be live entertainment on the main stage, food vendors and fun for all ages. The bands begin at 5PM.
The Tempe fireworks display will be trimmed from 45 minutes to 1/2 hour this year, but that will be a very cool change. They will cram all of the normal fireworks into a shorter time which should be pretty dang amazing!
“This year’s fireworks show at the July 4th Tempe Town Lake Festival will be as magnificent as last year’s, with nearly 15,000 starbursts, waterfalls, pixie dust and fun shapes exploding from the bridge.” via AZ Central

** Pro tips**
1. Purchase light rail tickets for your 4th of July trip in advance so that you just have to activate them before and after the shows. It could save you some time from standing in line!
2. Watch for traffic restrictions and road closures on the 4th. Traffic gets BUSY!
