Here’s a reminder of a few tips for getting to the game as easy as possible.
1. Buy an all day pass. For just $3.50 ( other passes are available ) you can ride the METRO light rail trains all day. Yep, it’s a pretty good deal. Kids 5 and under ride FREE.
2. Follow the MLB All Star updates on Twitter.
3. Know your way around. We have a few maps that will help you have fun.
** Bonus Tip!** Remember, the light rail line is “split” in Downtown Phoenix. You have different East and West bound stops for Chase Field and for the Phoenix Convention Center. See these tips on getting to Chase Field via METRO light rail!
**Bonus Tip #2** During the MLB All-Star Red Carpet event on Tuesday, July 12, from 10 – 1:30 p.m., METRO will transition from 12 to 20-minute service. Riders traveling eastbound to attend this event should disembark at the 1st Ave./Jefferson station; the 3rd St./Jefferson station will be closed. It will re-open immediately following this event.
People are having a rockin’ good time rolling in to the arena via our light rail system.
Remember, today is about baseball, it’s about America’s pastime. It’s not Joe’s chain gang or Jessie’s whining. Let’s play ball!
It’s going to be a great day at Chase Field for the 2011 MLB All Star game! The All Star FanFest has been a huge hit. Check out this video from our friend, Tyler Hurst.
