So, you live in the PHX and you want to have a say in what’s going on? How about participating in the political process instead of just complaining about things when you don’t like the status quo? This coming week, you will have a chance to attend a debate to hear from 5 mayoral candidates so that you have a chance to compare them without simply relying on their press releases and sound bytes.
As you probably know, Mayor Gordon, the present mayor of Phoenix, is termed out and cannot run again in the next mayoral race. The election for his replacement takes place on August 30, 2011. Without a doubt, it is important to elect a mayor who will lead and represent all of the citizens of Phoenix.
Citizens For Phoenix has scheduled a mayoral debate on Tuesday May 3rd which will be attended by:
Eichenauer
Gullett
Mattox
Neely
Stanton
Details as to time and place for the debate are as follows:
· Date – Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011
· Place – Phoenix Theatre, 100 East McDowell Road in Phoenix
· Time – Doors will open at 6:00 pm – 7:00 to 8:30 Mayoral Debate

Pass this information on to all of your friends and associates. Phoenix deserves a strong turnout of informed voters for the August 30 mayoral election. Attendance at the May 3rd debate will be a positive step in this direction. RSVP for the debate today!
And yes, the location of this 2011 mayoral debate is easily accessed from the METRO light rail line. The Phoenix Theatre at 100 East McDowell Road is very close to the McDowell station. See the Phoenix light rail map below.
