The 28th annual A Taste Of Greece festival is coming to Tempe Beach Park for three days this weekend! Thousands of people will enjoy Greek food, dancing, music and fun.
The shores of Tempe Town Lake will be transformed into a Greek marketplace where people will enjoy live Greek music, see Greek dancers, taste Greek food and sample some Greek beer or wine.
If you have ever wondered what the heck Souvlaki, Saganaki, Dolmades or even Gyros are, this is your chance. If you are already a fan of Greek food, you know this is the place to be for the three days of the annual Greek Festival.
The Greek festival is fun for the whole family with carnival rides, kids games and more. There will also be vendors on hand showcasing imported goods and jewelry.
The Greek festival hours are:
Friday, April 29 – 11am to 11pm
Saturday, April 30 – 11am – 11pm
Sunday, May 1 – 11am – 7pm
Admission to A Taste of Greece is just $3.00 for adults. For senior citizens and students the cost is $2.00 and children under 12 are FREE.
Admission is free 11 am to 3 pm Friday, try it for lunch!
As with any event at Tempe Beach park, the event’s organizers suggest that people ride the METRO light rail to the festivities. It’s an easy way to get to anything happening in the Mill Avenue District! Remember, the METRO park and ride lots are FREE and an unlimited pass for adults is just $3.50.
If riding the light rail to the Tempe Greek festival, exit at the Mill Avenue station and then head north to the park. See the Phoenix light rail map below for more information on getting to the festival!
