West 6th is moving full speed ahead. Lease rates have been announced and construction is moving along very quickly. In fact, they expect new residents in the former Centerpoint building this August.
This morning, it was a “who’s who” of Tempe politicians, Chamber members, developers, and more at a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly revised project in the Mill Avenue District. Mayor Hallman discussed the quality of the construction, the sustainability of the project, and conveyed some of the excitement that many people feel for West 6th.
Following the ribbon cutting, we were given a tour of the buildings and saw first hand the construction progress, and we were able to walk through some of the finished units. ( see some photos of West 6th here. )
As I walked through one of the units on the 17th floor, I shot a quick video. As you can see, West 6th has some awesome views and the units are very nice.
For people looking for an urban lifestyle, these buildings just might be one of their best bets. Just west of Mill Avenue and just south of the light rail station at 3rd street, the location makes for a pretty interesting choice. We’ll be following along to see what additional news comes from the people at West 6th.
