The 2011 Willo Historic Home Tour is THIS Sunday, February 13th from 10am to 4pm. If you are interested in some of the coolest historic homes along the light rail line, the annual Willo Historic Home Tour is something you don’t want to miss.
The annual Willo Historic Home Tour typically consists of a dozen or so homes that are available to tour. In addition to being able to see some of these architecturally significant homes, you will enjoy a street fair centered around Walton Park in the heart of Willo. “The street fair offers 100 vendors selling food, jewelry, arts and crafts.” See WillowHistoricDistrict.com for complete details.
The map below shows the general area of Willo which is bordered north to south by Thomas and McDowell, and east to west by 1st Avenue and 7th Avenue. The map also shows the locations of the light rail stations along the 20 mile light rail line. If taking the METRO light rail line to the Willo Home Tour, you will want to exit at the Central / McDowell station.
Tickets for the Willo Home Tour are available online for $15.75 until 9pm on February 11th or they can be purchased for $18.00 the day of the tour at 3rd Avenue and Holly. (One of the green “home” icons on the map below is located near 3rd and Holly to make it easy to find ) The home tour is free for children 12 years and younger when accompanied by a paying adult.
Remember, your light rail pass is just $3.50 for unlimited use during the day. Discounted rates for children 6-18, kids 5 and under ride free.

The Willo Historic Home Tour and Street Fair has something for everyone. Each year approximately a dozen architecturally significant homes and the historic firehouse are open to the public for an inside look. The homes range in style from Tudor to Spanish Revival, Bungalow and Ranch and were built from the 1920s through the 1940s.
