I guess it’s no big secret that a large percentage of light rail ridership in Arizona is from recreational riders. ie: People out having fun going to ball games, restaurants, concerts, arts festivals, museums and more.
One of my friends that lives along the line knows how to have fun with the best of the best. In fact, he is known far and wide as ‘The Social Latte.” Don’t let the latte thing fool you. While he knows his way around a coffee cup, I can honestly say that the dude knows his IPA’s just as well.
A few weeks ago, we found this awesome special on Blood Marys. It was purely by accident, I swear. We stopped in for a quick lunch and immediately knew this special was a blog post waiting to happen. In fact, he has been back since then to make sure the deal still holds true. Can you name the restaurant / bar?
I’m enclosing a map below that lists over 50 places along the light rail line to grab a beer, glass of wine, cup of coffee, etc. Click on the map to zoom in and out of the locations and make sure your favorite spot is listed. Over the next month or two, we will try to list the top 10 happy hour spots along the line. Yes, we want your help. Watch for an official Rail Life web page and Facebook mention for details. The top 10 places will be highlighted on the map and their happy hour special will be listed.
Hey, we like to have fun and we know you do, too! After all, “Your Life Is On The Line!”

Remember, Rail Life has a Phoenix Light Rail Group on Flickr. Basically, we want to share some of our pictures from the community and allow people to add their pics (or videos), as well. These can be light rail related, but we also want pics or videos of your favorite spot, restaurant, sports team, community, event, etc.
HA! This is going to be AWESOME! I love doing this kind of ‘research’ for the ‘betterment of the community’ 🙂
Yeah, we often must go well above and beyond the call of duty for the true good of mind kind. Thanks for all you do, Jack!
