It’s no big secret that a large percentage of light rail riders in our area consist of ASU students. In fact, the light rail stop at Rural and University has been one of the busiest stations ( top 5 ) in 2009 and 2010 ridership numbers by station. The end of the line stations, Roosevelt, Mill, Downtown Phoenix and the airport all get a lot of traffic but, ASU is certainly a big deal when it comes to the large ridership numbers.
Every now and then, we like to point out a different neighborhood along the line. The range of homes for sale near the light rail line is fascinating. ( to some people ) From super cool to not so great, we have them all in our “city within cities” that surrounds 20 miles of track connecting Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa.
University Ranch: Located between University and Apache on the West side of Price, the location is not far from campus or the light rail line. For ASU students, this location is convenient and affordable. Currently, 3 bedroom homes can be found for relatively affordable prices, even if on a student budget. This map will show you the location of University Ranch:
