Cool doubleheader at Wells Fargo Arena tonight beginning at 5pm as the ASU men take on Long Beach State, followed by the Lady Sun Devils at 7:30 against 16th ranked DePaul. Two for the price of one… The Insight Bowl matchup is the best yet with 12th ranked Mizzou against the Big Ten Iowa Hawkeyes… I like KT’s offseason moves with the D’Backs. Going back to his Padres’ days, he knows how to build a team with limited resources… The Suns upgrade the defense with the Magic trade, but the question is who fills JRich’s awfully big shoes? Grant Hill and Jared Dudley need to step up big time… Since I was born and raised in San Diego (please don’t hold it against me), I’m digging the announcement of the ASU-SDSU home and home football series. Too bad it isn’t until the 2017-2018 seasons… Let’s see if Nash can bring out the best in Vince Carter and prove all the naysayers wrong… ASU is appealing the 2011 NCAA 2011 baseball postseason ban. The 11 straight NCAA postseason appearance streak is in serious jeopardy… Iowa and Missouri players arrived in town and have got to be loving the desert weather. Iowa City – high of 19 on Christmas Day, Columbia Mo – high of 24, Phoenix – high of 72… Can Marcin Gortat, aka “The Polish Hammer” be the defensive force sorely needed by Planet Orange? Only time will tell… I would like to announce that my only son, Kevin, has been accepted into the Barrett Honors College at ASU for the Fall 2011 semester. I am soon to be a Sun Devil Dad and I cant wait!!!
