As a reminder, the METRO holiday schedule has some changes that you might want to be aware of. During the holidays, METRO will add some additional service during peak times and will be cutting back some service, as well. Normal METRO light rail hours of operation are in effect most of the time.
From METRO this am we hear… “Reminder that tomorrow, Fri., Dec. 24, METRO will run regular Fri. schedule WITHOUT late night service & Sunday service on Sat., Dec. 25.”
If you are going out on Christmas Eve, make sure you are aware that our “Night Rail” service will NOT be in effect! This means that trains will complete their last full trip from the end-of-line stations at 11 p.m.
With tons of traffic expected for the Insight Bowl, Fiesta Bowl Block Party, CityScape New Year’s Eve Party and more, there will be additional trains running late to get you to and from the fun.

Light rail to run Sunday schedule on Christmas and New Year’s
Light rail will operate on a Sunday schedule on Christmas Day, Saturday, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Saturday, Jan. 1; trains arrive every 20 minutes on Sundays.
On Christmas Eve, Friday, Dec. 24, METRO will operate using a regular Friday schedule, but without late-night service; trains will complete their last full trip from the end-of-line stations at 11 p.m.
On New Year’s Eve, Friday, Dec. 31, METRO will run regular service, staying open late and adding more trains to support the demand from special events. Trains will complete their last full trip from the end-of-line stations at 2 a.m
Service for Dec. 28 Insight Bowl
On Tuesday, Dec. 28, METRO will extend its regular service hours and add additional trains to support patrons of the Insight Bowl. After midnight, trains will arrive every half-hour through the last full trip from the end-of-line stations at 2 a.m. The closest station to Sun Devil Stadium is Veterans Way/College Ave. Buy an all-day pass from any station fare vending machine for round trip service.
