Ok, so you know that the Insight Bowl is coming up and you know that the Tempe Block Party is right around the corner. While many people consider these to be “don’t miss” events, I have a feeling that the 130 ladies registered for “Chicks on Tracks” might say that tonight will be WAY more fun. That’s right, 130 chicks will be boarding the light rail at the Price / 101 station this evening and singing Christmas carols on their way to visit the Mill Avenue District. Once there, they will have dinner and a ton of fun at a top secret destination. I have the inside scoop on what is going on tonight, and I can tell ya’ that it’s going to be a riot! These chicks know how to party!
This is the second time this group has done a light rail ride and the chicks are back for more. That’s right, the ladies from Bethany Community Church are at it again. Turns out, this night of fun along the light rail line is even larger than the first chicks on tracks adventure.
Back in June of 2009, approximately 70 women gathered for a night of fun and fellowship along the line. Their number has just about doubled this time around and the fun is sure to be contagious.
Here’s the deal… The ladies will meet in the parking lot of Bethany Community Church and then drive or car-pool to the light rail park and ride station at the 101 and Apache, where they will board the train and embark on their adventure. So, for $15.00, each participant will be given a light rail pass, be taken to dinner AND be given a very cool “Chicks on Tracks” t-shirt.
You’re definitely going to have fun tonight, Chicks!
