For the month of October 2010, light rail ridership numbers were slightly lower that last month. While September was the second highest month on record, the fact that some large events happened last month might be the reason for the slight dip.
Totals look like this:
Total Boardings for October: 1,165,737 vs 1,179,952 in September
Avg. Weekday Boardings: 43,425 vs 44,577 in September
Avg Saturday Boardings: 30,039 vs 35,325 in September
Avg Sunday / Holiday Boardings: 20,722 vs 20,506 in September
For the month of October 2009, the total boardings were 1,124,924 with an average weekday ridership of 41,077.
November numbers should see positive demand from snowbirds and a few cool events. Demand and ridership is expected to be over the 1MM mark for the fourth month in a row.
