The Thursday Night Market is back after taking the lloooonng hot Summer off. Each Thursday night, head down to the Mill Avenue District to check out some of the cool stuff at the Market and take in some of the Music on Mill action.
If you remember, the Market was set up near MADCap on the West side of Mill Avenue last year. This year, they have moved over to 5th and Forest which is just East of Mill Avenue at the Tempe Urban Garden. Streets will be blocked off and the vendors will be set up around the garden. One of the many cool things about the Thursday Night Market is the fact that it changes weekly. The focus is largely on locally grown products from a great selection of local growers, food producers and vendors. In addition to great food and cool stuff to buy, there will be live music, games, face painting, balloon artists and more to make it a fun place for all.
Check out this nifty little video that will give you the scoop on what the Urban Garden and the Market is all about. You can also follow Downtown Tempe for updates and information.
The market is open from 5-8pm and is just south of the Tempe Transportation Center. The closest light rail station is at 5th and College ( Sun devil Station ) which is just east of the Mill Avenue Station. If taking the Mill Ave Station, you can also catch some of the Music on Mill on Thursday nights.
See ya’ around!
