The 7th annual “September 11th Healing Field” tribute will once again be held at Tempe Beach Park September 10-12 from 5am to 11pm each day. If you have never taken the time to go to Tempe Town Lake to visit this memorial, you are missing something very special. What a cool tribute to those innocent lives lost from this cowardly attack on our freedoms.
Please join us in honoring the nearly 3000 victims of the September 11th attacks on our country. The Healing Field Memorial will have three thousand 3’X5′ flags standing 8′ tall in perfect rows at Tempe Beach Park. This beautiful display will fly a temporary patriotic tribute to the strength and unity of Americans, and will honor all those who died September 11, 2001.
On Sept. 11, the event will open with a ceremony at 5:40 a.m., and there will be a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m.
If you haven’t done so lately, please thank a Vet for their service in protecting this great Nation of ours.
Watch the video and listen as the planes fly overhead. What a reminder of the day that most of us will never forget.
May God bless America. Now and forever…
Thanks for alerting me to this. We took the train to Tempe on Sunday to see the Healing Field and then spent some time walking around before having a family lunch at Stan’s. The flags looked especially impressive from the train as it crossed the bridge, and they more than offset the current emptiness of Tempe Town Lake.
