Weekend light rail delays coming up

August 5, 2010 by Rail Life Leave a Comment

METRO has advised people to plan on delays if traveling to or from the East valley this weekend. In a news release sent this am, the following information was given:

“Light rail service disruption due to track repair work in Tempe

Friday, August 6 at 8 p.m. – Sunday, August 8

If traveling between University Dr./Rural and Dorsey/Apache Blvd. stations this weekend, please plan to transfer trains and allow for extra time to reach your final destination. Your patience is greatly appreciated.

The service schedule should not be affected by this work.”

So, if you are heading to a Diamondbacks game a Mercury game or to the market or anywhere along the line, be sure to add some time on to your normal plans.

Most “passengers across the line can still expect 15 minute service on Saturday and 20 minutes on Friday and Saturday evenings and all day Sunday. Only those passengers traveling between University and Dorsey will have a few extra minutes added to their personal schedule.”

Have a great weekend!
