A Sunday 4th of July makes for a fun and exciting weekend. Many communities around our great state took advantage of Saturday celebrations while the BIG Phoenix and Tempe 4th of July celebrations will happen this evening.
As you can see below, I tried to do a short video of a neighborhood 4th of July celebration. Unfortunately, I am not the greatest “video guy” and it turned out more Blair Witch than I would have liked. I tried to shoot with a small hand held camera while walking in the parade and some ( ok, a lot ) of it is kind of choppy. The video is only a couple of minutes and some of it won’t make you dizzy. 🙂 Even though I am not Steven Spielberg, you should get an idea of how this small Tempe neighborhood comes together each year on the 4th.
So, this weeks “pic of the week” is actually a video. 🙂
If heading to the events in Phoenix or Tempe, METRO has some tips for you. Basically… Be safe, plan on crowds and have fun!
Where ever you are this weekend, I hope you have a GREAT time and a VERY Happy 4th of July!
Remember, Rail Life has a Phoenix Light Rail Group on Flickr. We want to share some of our pictures from the community and allow people to add their pics (or videos), as well. These can be light rail related, but we also want pics of your favorite spot, restaurant, sports team, community, event etc.
