Tonight, Dixon Golf is celebrating the opening of their operations at the Eco-Friendly building in Tempe with a party and you are invited! According to the Tempe Republic, the first 50 people will get free golf balls and all will be treated to food, music and Nintendo Wii golf games. (Rumor has it that our friends at La Boca are providing some of the food!) I might give the Wii games a try, because Lord knows my handicap on the “real” course probably exceeds my age.
Tempe mayor Hugh Hallman and “Hercules” actor Kevin Sorbo will be partying like the green rock stars we know they are. That alone might just piqué the interest of a few of you, right?
Dixon Golf is at the Tempe Transportation Center adjacent to the light rail station at Veterans Way and College Avenue ( Sun Devil Station ), which is just east of the Mill Avenue Station. The address for the Tempe Transportation Center is 200 E 5th Street.
You may remember Dixon Golf as being a 100% eco-friendly golf ball manufacturer. The entire company philosophy fits the green lifestyle, which owners say is one of the reasons they chose to relocate to the award winning Tempe Transportation Center.
Below is a short video of Dixon Golf President William Carey talking to Rail Life about their decision to make the move to the Transportation Center.
