Once again, we have a TON of good stuff going on this weekend. If you like it HOT, don’t miss My Nana’s Salsa Challenge at Tempe Beach Park this Saturday from 11am – 6pm. Yep, it’s easy to get to. Just take the light rail to Mill Avenue and head North to the park! This is a VERY cool event that helps raise money for a great cause. Most of us around here love salsa but this fun event is about more than a salsa challenge. While there seems to be a never ending supply of stuff to do along the line, I thought I’d mention another cool event happening this weekend even though it is a little bit off of the light rail. With so much talk about Earth Day lately and with the very cool announcement of the Green Rail Corridor this week, I thought I’d tell ya about what the cool people over at GreenFuel Technologies are cookin’ up. They are having a Spring Festival with thousands in door prizes, educational seminars, FREE food and drink, “how to” work shops and FREE home energy audits every hour! Come learn about solar, get some great energy tips and check out the cool things they are doing at Green Fuel Technologies. There will be fun for all ages with a Kid Zone featuring a bounce house, solar car racing and a solar coloring corner. The FREE energy audits and the hands on workshops will give you a great opportunity to learn more about how far they have come with new technologies as well as getting good, practical tips on how to save some green each month on your utility bills.
