Rail Life Throws A Curve Ball

March 19, 2010 by Nick Bastian 2 Comments

In this world, you try to learn to roll with the punches. Last night, I got a punch / text from Chuck saying, “why does asu site say baseball game is at 630p? didn’t you say 1p?” Uh, yeah, I did… It’s good to see one of us paying attention to these minor details.

For those of you following along, we have invited a bunch of friends to an ASU Baseball game this Saturday. In my blog post and on Facebook, I listed a pre-game happy hour starting at 11am for a 1pm start to the ASU / Houston game. Somehow, when I picked up the tickets, there was a discussion of a 1pm game and I just flat out made a mistake. Nope, it’s not the first mistake I have ever made, nor will it be the last. Sorry!

I wasn’t home when I got Chuck’s message but checked the ASU baseball schedule as soon as I could. I wasn’t too happy with what I found, but you win some, you lose some.

On the bright side? I talked to Christina at Dave’s Electric Brewpub last night just before 10pm and she says, I am looking forward to seeing you guys there…

Whew. At least we can still meet at Dave’s. We are now scheduled to meet at 4:30pm instead of 11am. Game time is 6:30pm, NOT 1pm. I have been given ticket vouchers good for two tickets each. Anyone that has left a comment on the previous post or have added their name to our Facebook event page will get a voucher good for 2 tickets. ( some of you asked for a couple more and that will still work)

The vouchers need to be turned in to the ticket office prior to use. I was told we can do that before the game. If you want to give me your contact info, I can turn them in today and have your tickets ready for you. Just call me and leave your contact info by using that big Call Me button right over there. –>

I am really sorry if some people can’t make an evening game and had made plans for a day game. For anyone that couldn’t make a day game but wants to join us Saturday evening, we would love for you to join us.

The NEW plan is to meet at Dave’s at 4:30pm for a Rail Life happy hour and then go catch the game.

While I might have a bit of egg on my face, I actually like the idea of having the evening with friends. Hopefully, our day can be productive and we will all be even more ready to have fun Saturday evening!

Did you know the number 1 ranked Sun Devil baseball team is 17-0 so far this year? Come on out and cheer em’ on!
