Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year and is spent with family, food, football and fun. What’s not to like, right?
Other than the above obvious fun stuff, I am extremely thankful for my friends, for this blog (and the friends I have made because of it), and for being able to do a job I love for the past 17 years.
I just want to say a quick THANK YOU to my family and friends for being part of my life. Many of you have called and emailed to ask how the “Turkey Drive” went. I am very glad to say it was our biggest haul yet! Rob Sell and I delivered over 1100 pounds of turkey to the Phoenix Rescue Mission this past Sunday. This was way more than we expected as it started out a little slow and the obvious state of the economy makes it harder for all of us to help.
Thankfully, many new friends stepped up and donated when some of the “regulars” from the past were not able to. It is a great feeling to know we are all helping so many families this Thanksgiving, and I sincerely thank every person who donated to the drive or who has helped others in some other way. (We have a few turkey drive pics here )
Oh, yeah.. Special thanks to my rockin’ wife for putting up with me! 🙂
