As the very successful Greenbuild International Conference and Expo wraps up at the Phoenix Convention Center, residents are excited to be able to partake in our own Phoenix Green Streets Festival.
The Green Streets Festival is a FREE community event happening tonight from 6PM to 10PM celebrating green living, sustainability, arts and an urban lifestyle.
The Green Streets Festival will be featuring local arts and crafts, live music, locally-grown food, a downtown pub crawl and a beer garden hosted by Arizona’s own Four Peaks Brewing Company! There will be a “Green Zone” located on Roosevelt St between 4th and 7th streets for vendors and demonstrations showing eco-friendly sustainable products, information about energy and water saving resources and programs, green job training opportunities and a ton of other cool “stuff.”
Of course, the best way to get to the green streets festival is via light rail! There is a light rail station at Central and Roosevelt for your green traveling convenience!
The green will continue to flow well in to the weekend with a ton of cool things happening on Saturday. Check out more information about the Green Streets Festival’s weekend activities listed by our friends at the Downtown Phoenix Journal or find the cool people from Roosevelt Row on Facebook or via the Roosevelt Row web site.
That’s not enough “green” for ya’? Don’t forget that the “Defining Sustainability” exhibition at the ASU Art Museum runs until February! Just take that same light rail train to Mill Avenue and head South to 10th street! Those streets are green, too.
