If you are like me, the news of some low life loser stealing a computer and camera equipment from our long time friends at CenPho.tv just about made you want to puke. After all, these guys just want to share information about cool things happening in the city. For someone to steal their equipment, it basically means they have stolen a resource from the entire community. But, guess what? A community it is and people have and continue to step up, big time to help get them back on the air.
Don’t miss the CenPho.TV benefit concert this Sunday at the ultra cool Stinkweeds located right off of the light rail station at Central and Camelback. I believe they are working with borrowed equipment right now, but it sure would be cool to see them back up to full speed.
The Downtown Phoenix Journal has been covering the story and from them I learned the benefit starts at 4:00pm this Sunday November 8th: According to the DPJ, we hear:
Stinkweeds, Uptown’s favorite indie record store, is pitching in its support with a benefit concert, with help from River Jones Music and SilverPlatter.
On Sunday, November 8, a $3 donation (proceeds going to CenPhoTV… duh) will get you a chill spot in Stinkweeds’ lovely little courtyard to see some pretty killer bands.
Go check it out and go donate the three bucks to hear some music at Stinkweeds.
Looking for other cool stuff to do before Sunday afternoon? Don’t forget the Downtown Phoenix Public Market on Saturday followed by RailGating in Tempe to cheer on the Devils and a Sunday morning Farmers Market on Mill Avenue. As you hear of other cool things going on along the light rail line, you can always leave it in the comments on the blog or mention it on the Rail Life Facebook page so we can share it with others! You are a Fan, right?
See ya’ around… Rockin’ the Rail Life…
