This past week the Arizona Diamondbacks would win their home series against the Chicago Cubs to hit the road to face the Milwaukee Brewers. The D-backs would end up splitting that series two games a piece as they head to the west coast to face the league leading Dodgers, followed by the Padres. The team has seemed to get back into their winning ways as they have kept the games close and pitching has been doing their part in the last week.
Despite a questionable call that would go the D-backs’ way on Friday, the team would reign victorious and would go on to win the game on Saturday. Sunday’s game was a bit of a disappointment as the team would begin a rally by nailing three home runs in the seventh inning but, it would not be enough as they lose the game by a run. The team will return to town on Friday to face Adam Dunn and the Washington Nationals for the weekend series.
This week’s away games exhibit importance as it allows the team to gain some ground in the National League West. The Dodgers are currently in first place and the Padres are currently tied with the Diamondbacks. The Nationals have not been doing too hot as of late as they are the owners of the worst record in the National League.
This weekend, there are also a couple of promotions that we would like to make you aware of. The promotions include a drawstring sports bag to the first 25,000 fans at Saturday’s game and a special D-backs tote bag to the first 5,000 Mothers on Mothers’ Day. We hope to see you at the ballpark to cheer on your Arizona Diamondbacks.
