You have seen #evfn on Twitter, have read about them in the news and have maybe gossiped about them while standing around the water cooler. Heck, if you are really in the know, you joined us at the last “light rail EVFN.”
This Friday night, May 1st 2009 East Valley Friday Nights returns to Rail Life territory. That’s right, the easiest way to hang with the coolest kids in town is via light rail, specifically, the 5th and College station on the ASU campus.
Our friends Evo Terra and Richard Stuart are rockin’ the Rail Life with a lot of great food, fun and even a showing of some great art at the studio! This month’s featured artist is Christina Mesiti www.christinamesiti.com, her show is titled First of Many:
Location: Studios 5C Gallery 502 S. College Ave, Tempe, AZ 85281
Lunchbox Collective will be providing beer & wine along with hors d’oeuvres and delicious Smoked chicken and Ribs courtesy of Fast Eddie’s Steak Seasoning.
Getting there is easy. All you have to do is take the light rail to the 5th / College station ( Sun Devil Stadium stop ) and go to the South West corner of 5th and College. (the reception and gallery are on the third floor)
More information and an RSVP can be made on the EVFN “Upcoming” page as well as a Facebook page.
As a “warm-up” to EVFN, a few of us will be meeting at Regions Bistro Tempe on Mill Avenue at 640 S Mill. ( South West corner of 6th street and Mill which is just a couple of short blocks away from Studios 5C) Regions Bistro is having a happy hour with complimentary samples of Shrimp Flautas, Braised Short Rib and Black Bean Soup from 4-6pm along with a fun “Margarita Bar” for all to try. Sorry, the Margaritas are not complimentary. 🙂 They have a great happy hour from 2-6pm and 9-close daily and the place is pretty cool, so come join me and a few friends prior to EVFN for a fun “warm up.” We will walk over to EVFN at 6:00 sharp!
I sincerely hope you can join us. After all, “Your Life Is On The Line!”
I can’t make this event, but I do hope you enjoy your first stop at Regions. I gave it a try for lunch the other day and was quite impressed with the food. Review coming soon.
Hi David, sorry you can’t make it on Friday. Always good to hear from the PhxRailFood guy! 🙂
I tried Regions a couple of weeks ago and thought it was great. Looking forward to your review.
See ya’ around…
Might show up – haven’t been to the LBC in a long time and if Richard’s cookin I may have to hit it up 🙂
