Twestival Phoenix is happening tonight here in the valley and at other cool places all around the country. Twestival is a huge "Tweet Up" raising money and awareness for people in need of safe, drinkable water. Their study shows that 1 in 6 people in the world do not have safe water to drink. Nope, it is not at a location along the light rail line but I think their cause is cool and I am a HUGE believer in the power of Twitter for raising awareness and building communities. The ironic part is that I will be out of town (need to start packing) tonight and can not make the event. It just so happens that Twestival Seattle is being held less than a mile from my hotel so I will be able to join some fellow "Twits" in Seattle. 🙂
One of the guys that has been instrumental in bringing this event to the valley is my friend Chris Lee. Chris and I have become good friends over the past several months since first meeting at a "Tweet Up" in Scottsdale. If you go to the event tonight, please say "Hi" to Chris for me…
You can donate to their cause on line, you can join them at the Half Moon Sports Grill 2121 East Highland in Phoenix or you can jump on a plane and hang out with me at the Spitfire Grill in Seattle WA.
Please click on the Twestival Phoenix link above to get more info. They also have a Facebook page, Upcoming page etc etc where PLENTY of information is available.
Oh yeah, please be sure to Follow RailLife on Twitter!
