I have talked to many people who are excited to take the light rail line to see the D-backs play baseball this year. If you are anxious to try out the new system to get you to the ballpark, you might want to check out the 5th annual D-backs Fan Fest being held this Saturday, February 7th at Chase Field from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. admission is FREE!
If heading to the ballpark for the first time, you might want some "tips on navigating the light rail system." For instance, the station located just outside of Chase field is an EAST bound train. This means, board it after the game if you want to go to the East Valley. If you want to go North or West, you will probably want to use the stop at 3rd St and Washington.
At Fan Fest, people will have an opportunity to see current and former players as well as some of the coaching staff. We just read that people will also have the opportunity to go on to Chase Field, roam through the D-backs clubhouse, score autograph's or snap photo's of their favorite D-backs' players. Back in January, our friends at AZ Hardball wrote about Fan Fest and shared some of this great info as well: "Some of the other activities include baseball skills centers, baseball card shows, a silent auction, autograph sessions, photograph sessions and clubhouse tours!" How cool is that?!?
