The first "light rail scavenger hunt" sponsored by Barrett, the Honors College at ASU was held this past week with participating students and faculty. Basically, teams were assembled to compete by being given a list of items to find or photograph from businesses or organizations along the light rail line. We were thrilled to play a small part in this fun event where participation was much stronger than originally expected. The original number of participants was estimated between 50 and 70 people with nearly 250 coming out to make the night a huge success.
The desire for ASU to introduce students to the light rail line is commendable. With the system being such a great way to connect the Tempe and the downtown Phoenix campuses, this event made for a fun way to learn more about the communities along the line.
At Rail Life, we love being involved with fun events along the light rail line. If you know of something cool happening, please let me know!

Remember… Rail Life has a "Phoenix Light Rail Group on Flickr." Basically, we want to share some of our pictures from the community and allow people to add their pics (or videos), as well. These can be light rail related, but we also want pics of your favorite spot, restaurant, sports team, community, etc
