Metro light rail offering Northwest Extension public meeting to review park-and-ride facility.
PHOENIX — A public meeting is scheduled to discuss the design of the Dunlap park-and-ride in METRO’s Northwest Extension with neighboring stakeholders. The park-and-ride is planned for the southwest corner of 19th Avenue and Dunlap.
METRO and City of Phoenix staff will be on-hand to provide the latest conceptual designs for the site, including the parking structure, integrated artwork and site layout. Public feedback is critically important to the development of a facility that works with its community and users of the system.

The Northwest Extension will be the first extension of the 20-mile METRO starter line, taking light rail service further north on 19th Avenue to Dunlap Avenue. It is a 3.2-mile extension funded by the City of Phoenix and anticipated to break ground in summer 2009.
At every major design milestone, METRO seeks community input. The design phase is when public input is the most valuable and can make direct impacts on the final design product.
Those unable to attend the meeting but would like to have their comments heard or be added to the list to receive further communication may contact Terry Gruver at 602-744-5546 or tgruver@metrolightrail.org.
