The light rail station at Rural and University is a very busy station. Tempe and ASU students have embraced light rail and are taking advantage of it’s many benefits. Students find light rail a great way to help with parking problems and costs. The ASU “U-Pass” is available at greatly discounted rates to ASU students. Currently, the U-Pass is $40.00 per semester.
Near by, you will find several restaurants and shops that are convenient to college students. There is also a bus line that connects to the University station.
During the school year, this is a VERY busy light rail stop. When school is out, the numbers change drastically. While this station is on campus, it is the station to the West that normally takes people to ASU football and basketball games.
