Are you looking for a FREE, family friendly, interactive event to do today? Then, you are sure to want to make your way to the nearest light rail station and head towards the Phoenix Convention Center (Third St & Washington, Phoenix light rail station). Today from 12 till 4pm, Weather Fest is taking place. With booths, exhibits and hands-on activities, Weather Fest is sure to be a hit with kids of all ages with lots of science-like things to do – from learning about pressure, recycling, tornadoes to real penguins from Sea World, San Diego.
Enjoy the afternoon by planning ahead. If this is your first time venturing the light rail, be sure to talk about light rail safety with your children ahead of time. Remember, adults may ride the rail for $1.25 one way or $2.50 round trip; Children 18 and under or anyone over 65, may ride at a reduced fare of 60cents one way or $1.20 round trip.Fare machines are available at each station and accept cash and credit/debit cards for your convenience.
