Friday night was the last home game prior to the opening of light rail, the last home game of the season and last home game for Rudy Carpenter. For senior day, it was also the last home game for many students that have some great memories of ASU. Thankfully, ASU defeated UCLA 34-9 while playing some serious defense. As I walked to our seats, I snapped this pic that fits this theme very well. These students always have some good signs and I hate to see it be their last game. Hopefully, next year, some one will keep up the "cool sign" tradition so that I can take some more pics. I love walking past the student section on the way to my seats.
For the last game, we invited people to join us for burgers, brats and some fun tail-gating action. Thanks so much to those of you that joined us, it was a great time. As my friend Tyler said, "next year, we will have to do this again." That @tdhurst is a smart guy! 🙂 Ironically, the one friend to comment on our last post wasn't an ASU fan which means, we will have to try and convert him for next year. Maybe bribery with food and drinks will work.
Next season, it will be fun to see people riding the light rail to the games! Why? Because, "Your Life Is On The Line!"
Remember… Rail Life has a "Phoenix Light Rail Group on Flickr." Basically, we want to share some of our pictures from the community and to allow people to add their pics (or videos) as well. These can be light rail related but we also want a favorite spot, restaurant, sports team, community etc
I will tailgate at every ASU game if I could ride the Light Rail in. It’s never the time, travel or expense that keeps most of us away, it’s the damn PARKING and fear of a DUI. Light Rail, you will be my world.
next year is gonna be fun tailgating at the games. Heck, we might have to start checking out the basketball games too. Thanks for coming out…
