OK, so I just got back from a really cool vacation with my wife. We had a GREAT time, the kids were home with grandparents and life is swell. I am thankful that Justin wrote while I was away but I must admit, I missed Rail Life. π From a cruise ship, they don't exactly make blogging easy. (I might have mentioned the connection speeds to them on my "comment card.")
While Lori and I crammed in a ton of fun in to a week at sea, I did have some down time. For a few minutes, I recalled my friend Jay Thompson saying that he has "a blogging problem." I have heard him say this a couple of times. In the past, I thought he was crazy (ok, he IS crazy but that's another topic) but I am beginning to think I can relate to what he means. Blogging about the light rail line, the neighborhoods and some of the fun stuff to do along the route has become kind of an addiction. Heck, if I am on a cruise and checking the blog to see what is going on, I might just have a slight problem. But… We are thankful for the people that stop by and we would love to hear more about your ideas on how people can better use the new system for work and for play.
Lucky for me, there is a ton of new information coming out in the next few weeks and months before Metro begins officially transporting us through Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. There is a meeting next week, another lunch with Friends of Transit coming up and still more information concerning the grand opening festivities. We will try to keep up with the information and pass it along to you. If there is anything you want us to share with others, please let me know.
Welcome to the “problem club”, we might need to start a support group. Welcome back!
Thanks Justin… Maybe we can get the B.A. (Blogger’s Anonymous) phone number from Jay! Better yet, I like your idea of a support group. I think we would have a lot of fun. Who would be the first person to blog it? π
