Recently, I have witnessed 2 major crashes near light rail that have upset me very much. The biggest one was this past Saturday night near the College Ave light rail station. Apparently, the Devil's were not paying attention and were looking ahead towards Georgia. In doing so, they got blindsided by the Rebels in a crash heard all over the valley. The aftermath has been swept back to Las Vegas where we hope it "stays in Vegas" not to return in such an embarrassing way ever again. The second catastrophe near the light rail lines has been making noise near the 3rd St/Jefferson stop for quite some time. In fact, 8 of the last 10 attempts to keep this crash from getting any worse have failed. Hopefully, there is time to save the situation.
On a lighter note, some idiot did run his car up on the light rail curb for another light rail accident that could and should have been avoided.
Todays paper has an article talking about the light rail testing that is beginning in Phoenix today. Of course, there needs to be safety awareness and people need to pay attention. It will sure be interesting to see how long until there is another collision. 🙂
