Here is a link to the ASU Parking and Transit Services newsletter for August. This is a really busy week for incoming students! The newsletter has info on Zipcar, the Orbit shuttle service, parking permits, ASU light rail information, inter campus shuttles etc etc. Take a second to check it out…
At Rail Life, we want to welcome all of the incoming ASU students. We look forward to being your resource for Decembers opening of light rail. At ASU, you will soon be able to say… “Your Life Is On The Line!”
Also, here is a copy of an email that went out at ASU today that might be helpful…
“This Wednesday through Friday, thousands of new students will move into residence halls across all four ASU campuses, causing a heavy volume of traffic on the roads and in parking lots. Many of these students and their families have never been on campus before and are unfamiliar with the parking regulations. Please be aware that most parking areas will see an influx in pedestrian and vehicular traffic as residence hall students unload their belongings. As a warm welcome gesture to our newest ASU community members, and to ensure a safe environment, we are asking drivers to please exhibit increased patience when traveling on campus streets and within parking lots. ASU parking permit holders who arrive at their assigned parking lot to find that there is no available parking due to students unloading, are asked to please proceed to the nearest ASU permit lot or structure. Lots and Parking Structures with availability will include: Packard Drive South (PS-7), Stadium (PS-5), and Lots 59, 59N. Please display your permit, even if you are parked outside your regularly assigned parking location. Under no condition will parking be allowed along red curbs or in ASU service vehicle stalls. Reserved spaces and loading zones will be enforced, and parking at meters and in visitor lots will require payment. Please call PTS Dispatch at 480.965.0641 if you have any questions.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this time of increased activity on campus.”
