Ok… So I mentioned that they were going to be doing some testing in Mesa this week. I just so happened to be heading south on the 101 yesterday and decided to exit to take a look on Apache and see if any of the light rail cars were running. Sure enough, I was able to follow one towards the Sycamore / Main station and shoot this quick video. Yeah, we were driving and holding a camera out the window. (please don’t try this yourself, it could be kind of stupid) I did notice a lot of people stopping to check everything out. Glad to see the testing is going well.

Nick,
Too cool! The rail cars look great – I only hope they stay that way after years of use. And great video work while driving – uh, but don’t make it a habit! π
lol Vance.. I’ll try to be more careful.. The motto at Rail Life is; “Your Life Is On The Line.” I am going to try and keep it that way. π
Very good! The moment the trains start running, all the opposition is going to fade into the woodwork, just like it has in every other city.
Oh, and you “get your kicks on Route 66” — not on “the” 66. Please say you “were heading south on 101” … that spurious “the” in there sounds like Valleygirlspeak.
See you on the train!
William, thanks so much for stopping by! I’ll try to leave out the “the” next time. omygosh, I can’t even believe I did that! π
