Light Rail Construction Update

June 21, 2008 by Rail Life 2 Comments

Wow.. For all of the people that have endured the long construction process, we can finally begin to see a lot of real progress. According to Metro's site, for the areas of Tempe and Mesa "In-road work is complete. No restrictions." The testing of Mesa and Tempe appears to be going well. Soon, we will start seeing cars running up Central and even over to Camelback and up 19th Avenue! How cool is that!?!?

Of course, there are still a lot of areas where roads are restricted or being worked on but Metro does have a page titled "Metro Traffic Update."

I found this short little video posted by my friend, Eddie. Thought it might be appropriate for today. πŸ™‚

    Nick,

Wow, they’ve come a long way since I saw the work being done during my visit in May. Nice job of capturing it!

Light rail would work well here in Michigan, except when it snows a lot!
