So, you want to check out some amazing 4th of July fireworks? The Phoenix and Tempe 4th of July celebrations are always a huge hit and they are conveniently located along the Phoenix light rail line and easily accessible from all parts of town.
The Phoenix 4th of July celebration is FREE for all to attend, and the Tempe 4th of July party is $5.00 if you buy tickets early or $8.00 at the gate. Children 12 & under are FREE, as are people with a military ID. VIP tickets are also available, see the Tempe 4th ticket page for complete details.
Phoenix will have a huge party with:
• Multiple stages of live local entertainment.
• A Kids’ Zone filled with tons of activities for kids AND a Splash Zone to cool you off!
• A Classic Car exhibit.
• One of the largest fireworks displays in Arizona begins at approximately 9:30PM

Tempe 4th of July Fireworks
At Tempe Town Lake, there will be a free inflatable village with a variety of rides, rock climbing walls and more preceding the huge fireworks spectacular launched from the Mill Avenue Bridge. There will also be live entertainment on the main stage, food vendors and fun for all ages. The music and fun begins at 5PM. A huge food court is also on hand with a variety of 4th of July grub for you to enjoy.

Traveling to either July 4th event is easy! Phoenix and Tempe both encourage you to ride the light rail to see the 4th of July fireworks celebrations. The Indian School station and the Mill Avenue station will be the most convenient to the fireworks shows.
WHAT: Phoenix and Tempe 4th of July fireworks celebrations.
WHERE: Steele Indian School Park and Tempe Beach Park.
WHEN: Monday, July 4th, 2016: 6-10pm in Phoenix. In Tempe, gates open at 5pm and the event runs until 11pm.
WHY: Celebrate the Fourth of July!!
Fireworks: Tempe and Phoenix fireworks both start at approximately 9:15pm.
The 4th of July is always a VERY busy day for METRO light rail and their riders. With two of the Valley’s biggest and best 4th of July celebrations happening in Phoenix and Tempe along the light rail line, tens of thousands of people will ride the trains to enjoy the Freedom Wireless Fabulous Phoenix 4th and the July 4th Tempe Town Lake Festivals.
GETTING THERE: Steele Indian School Park is just off of the Indian School light rail station, and Tempe Beach Park is just north of the Mill Avenue light rail station. Bus and light rail service is extended to handle the huge crowds.
METRO will expand their 4th of July service to “every 10 minutes” from 5pm to midnight on Monday, July 4th.
If you are new to riding the Phoenix light rail trains, you should know that the Park and Ride lots are free of charge, and you can purchase an all day pass for just $4.00. ( Youth and senior discounts are available. )
