You are here: Home / 1114 S Farmer Avenue Tempe AZ
The home at 1114 S Farmer Avenue in Tempe was originally built in 1945 and is an example of the post-World War II boom in home construction in the area.
Located in the Val Verde Plat 1 subdivision, the neighborhood is generally known as Mitchell Park. This particular home was also part of the Tempe Historic Property Survey that looked at hundreds of properties in the Tempe area. “This building is one of a handful of similar houses along this street. They represent an early subdivision tract development. The use of National Folk style as the design for tract housing was contrary to the predominant use of Ranch style during the post-war building boom.” Tempe.gov
1114 S Farmer is modest in size at 720 square feet. In 2011, the home was sold at a Trustee Sale and the new owners began an extensive renovation. The location, design and the history of the property combine to make a very appealing home in a great Tempe location.
Mitchell Park is adjacent to the Maple Ash neighborhood in Tempe and is just minutes from the Mill Avenue District, Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, Arizona State University and so much more.
