Each Saturday night there is an “Adult Skate” from 9-11 p.m with DJs, dancers and more. Guests can also purchase beer, wine, hot chocolate and all kinds of goodies from Chloe’s Corner while they watch the skaters. This really is a great time and a ton of holiday fun for all.
The outdoor ice skating rink at CityScape continues to be a great annual tradition in downtown Phoenix.
The rink is located on Central Avenue just south of the light rail station at Washington and Central. Yes, the rink is made with real ice – the kind usually found only in refrigerator freezers in Phoenix. Local residents will have the opportunity to rent skates or bring their own and glide across the surface of the rink.
There is no reason to travel all the way to Rockefeller Center when all we have to do is hop on the light rail and head to CityScape! Yep, CityScape is basically surrounded by our light rail system and getting there couldn’t be much easier. After ice skating at CityScape, you could try some bowling at Lucky Strike or visit one of the other cool places nearby. Heck, you might even want to explore a little and go grab a drink or a cup of coffee along the line somewhere. Your choices are nearly endless! Remember… Tis’ the season!
CityScape is a two-block, mixed-use urban project located in Downtown Phoenix. If you haven’t yet seen CityScape, use ice skating as an excuse to check it out! You can follow CityScape on Twitter for more information.
