The South Central Corridor Study, also known as an Alternatives Analysis (AA), is an 18 – 24 month evaluation of several high-capacity transit modes — including light rail, bus rapid transit and modern streetcar — and routes to determine the option that will best serve the community. It is the start of the federal process to eventually apply for capital funding. Funding for the study is provided by a Federal Transit Administration grant with a local match from the City of Phoenix.
