Name That Brew

As you probably know, it’s beer week in Arizona and we have a bunch of fun beer stuff going on all over the state.

Some of the participants in all of the craziness are the beer drinkers at Dave’s Electric Brewpub. Dave’s has a new brew coming out soon and it is brewed right here in Tempe. This is a classic IPA and is a similar recipe to the current Industrial Pale Ale they sell but with a higher alcohol content and higher hop content. Even though it isn’t completely ready for production, I got to try some recently with my friend, Mr. IPA, Jack Smith. Both Jack and I approve and look forward to when they begin serving it in the next few weeks.

There is just one problem… They haven’t named the new brew yet! That’s where you come in. Dave’s is having a “name that beer” contest. It’s easy to win, just pick the best name! See the video for details or check out the information below.

How to enter the Dave’s Electric Brew contest: Just leave a comment below or send your ideas via Twitter, Facebook, the Dave’s Electric website or tell the bartender (who will have a clipboard with list).

Prize: Winner will get a $25 gift certificate, t-shirt and pint glass

Timing: Open for entries Monday 2/14. Submissions due Monday 2/28. Decision will be made by Friday 3/4.

Contest rules: Must be 21 years or over. No limit on number of name entries. Prize will be available for winner at the brewpub.

Dave’s Electric brewpub is located at 502 S. College Ave. in Tempe, just south of the light rail station at Veterans Way and College. ( Sun Devil Station )
