Dave’s Electric Brewpub is finally here and yes, it is cool! The food is good, the beer is cold and the location is about as good as it gets for light rail riders and Sun Devil fans.
While there was a slight delay in their opening, we can now enjoy some more good, local beer. I have followed the construction and the story of this brewery for the past couple of months and was glad to see them open for business at the corner of 5th and College. In a future post, I’ll try to go into more detail about their story, food and BEER.
For now, I want to tell people about tomorrow’s chicken wing toast at Dave’s Electric Brewpub by some of our elected officials. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that this is a “politically correct” toast. But as a NON politician, I just might offer my services and raise a glass of Dave’s Electric Brew while they try out the wings. You know, it’s the “someone’s got to do it” mentality of a blogger just tryin’ to help a brother out. =-) Hope you can come join me!

Tempe City Council to raise chicken wings tomorrow, 4 p.m, to toast opening of Dave’s Electric Brewpub Tempe.
Dave’s Electric Brewpub just opened, and tomorrow at 4 p.m., Mayor Hugh Hallman and the Tempe City Council will toast to its prosperity and success — with chicken wings.
Dave’s will be known for its homebrew, which it plans to brew special varieties of on site, but it also boasts great food, including several varieties of chicken wings ranging from teriyaki for the timid to melt your tongue out of your mouth for the bold.

Nick, do you know if they'll be serving beer tomorrow? I'm trying to figure out if the chicken wing toast is due to overcautious politicians not wanting to seem like they're drinking on the job, or if there has been a delay with the liquor license.

I am 99.9% sure they will be serving beer tomorrow. They had it before the ASU game on Sat. :-)

Yes, we will be selling beer! We have a lager, IPA, pale ale and stout on tap. The chicken wings are a way to have a toast during business hours with the city. Thanks for posting!
