Sorry for the last minute mention but….
Some of the Rail Life crew will be checking out 6 new restaurants at the Phoenix Convention Center today who are participating in a free samples / tastings of their food. It's open to the public from 11am to 1pm at the North Convention Center building (the new one)…. The restaurants include:
1) Bistro on 3rd
2) Crust
3) Tortillas
4) City Central Coffee
5) Urban Wok
6) Fresh Gourmet To Go
Sorry, we have limited information available but thought it was worth a mention. The new Phoenix Convention Center is a gorgeous new facility and we are looking forward to helping convention visitors and Arizona residents find their way around!

Poked my head in around 12:45 PM. Place was mobbed. I don’t know if it was due to free samples or a big convention going on. Either way, it looked great but I needed something quick before getting back to the office. I went to Hero Factory instead and will review that restaurant soon. It’s great to see a convention center with a food court full of non-chain restaurants. Convention Center food is usually the worst of the worst, but it sounds like Phoenix is really trying something different. I look forward to trying all these places.
